PAYMENT
Payment is due to the instructor at the first lesson.
PRACTICE
Plan a regular time for DAILY practice. Ideally, beginners should practice 6 days a week, 15-30 minutes a day to make the most out of your private lessons. More advanced students should practice 45-60 minutes a day or more. The only way to see consistent improvement is for students to be practicing on a daily basis.
LESSON TIME
Please arrive early for your lesson time. Please have instruments out and ready before their lesson begins.
LESSON LOCATIONS
Lessons will be offered at the Performing Institute of Minnesota, at 7255 Flying Cloud Drive, Eden Prairie MN 55344.
SNOW EMERGENCY POLICY
In the event of a weather-related cancellation, we mirror the PiM Arts High School. If they close or have early dismissal, we will not hold lessons. Weather information will be broadcast on WCCO-AM, TV Channels 4,5,9,11, and can be found at the school’s website at pimartshs.org. Weather related cancellations cannot be made up.
CANCELLATION POLICY
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LESSONS IN A GIVEN SEMESTER.
Please contact your instructor directly when you may miss a lesson.
When scheduling lesson times, make sure to pick a time that will work all year. Alternate lesson dates and times are very challenging to schedule once the school year begins. If a cancellation must occur, please notify your teacher 24 hours in advance. Lessons will be made up only at the teacher’s discretion. The teacher is dedicating your lesson time to you whether or not you are present. If a teacher has to cancel a lesson, those lessons will be rescheduled or you will receive a credit for that lesson or refund based on your preference.
LESSON TERMINATION POLICY
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LESSONS IN A GIVEN SEMESTER.
When a student registers for lessons, we anticipate this will be a long term relationship. Lessons that are terminated before the end of the semester will not be refunded. Unless we are informed otherwise, students will be automatically scheduled for the second semester. Payment for the second semester is due prior to the beginning of that semester.
