When you think about your time at PiM/MSSPA, what is the one thing that sticks out?
The one thing that sticks out to me about MSSPA is the community. Everyone was so close to each other. There wasn't "cliques" like there was in other schools, everyone just kind of got along.
What was one thing you feel MSSPA/PIM prepared you for?
I think MSSPA prepared me for that to be in this industry you have to stay on top of your craft. You can't just let things go and hope for the best. You have to keep taking classes, keep performing, keep writing daily and then one day things will just stick.
What is something that you were surprised to discover MSSPA/PiM prepared you for?
I think the biggest thing that surprised me is how much MSSPA prepared me to be a producer. In high school you were given a project or a performance and it was up to you to put the pieces together, may it be a silly little performance in English class, or a project in science. You would be given the materials and then you would have to pull it all together, write it, perform it and so on. In my career I see the same thing happen, I'm given a production and then I have to gather all the crew, materials and talent to make it happen.
Are you doing what you thought you would be doing?
