- 2003 Stages Theater Company and Hopkins School District start the process of opening a grade 9-10 charter school to be a bridge between the Fair School in Golden Valley and the Perpich School
- 2004 Main Street School of Performing Arts opens September Karen Charles Executive Director
- 2005 MSSPA adds grades 11
- 2006 MSSPA adds grades 12
- 2007 MSSPA’s First Graduating class (60 students)
- 2009 MSSPA enrollment increases and occupies the remaining rooms in the building that were not being used
- 2010 Karen Charles leaves MSSPA to start THreads Dance Project and Barbara Wornson is brought in as the new Executive Director
- 2011 MSSPA enters into a long-term Authorizing Partnership with the University of St. Thomas
- 2012 MSSPA enrollment increases and occupies the lower level of the building.
- 2013 MSSPA adds Musical Theatre as an arts disipline and endorsement
- 2013 MSSPA begins looking for a new location as they are outgrowing the building
- 2014 MSSPA Celebrates a ten year anniversary
- 2015 School changes governence model to a four pillar team, Matt McFarlane becomes Executive Director, Michelle Erickson, Director of Teaching and Learning, Tania Montgomery, Direcotr of Student Life, Rob Thompson, Director of Outreach and Development
- 2016 Cassy Schauwitzer, former English teacher, becomes the new Director of Teaching and Learning replacing Michelle Erickson
- 2016 MSSPA begins bonding process and purchasing of building at 7255 Flying Cloud Drive, the future home of the performing Institute of Minnesota
- 2017 School moves to Eden Prairie and changes name to PIM Arts High School
- 2017 PiM/MSSPA hosts an ALL Class Reunion to say goodbye to our old building
- 2017 PiM adds Media and Visual Arts as arts disiplines
- 2017 PiM Emerging Professionals Ensemble begins summer Musical Theatre training with a production of Spring Awakening
- 2018 PiM increases staff in Visual Arts, Media Arts and Musical theatre as enroillment increases
- 2019 PiM adds a Hybrid Visual/Media arts disipline and Endorsement
- 2020 COVID 19 – Last class of students to have gone to MSSPA graduate in a virtual ceremony
