Word of the Day
Givi Stoner’s word of the day is eccedentesiast. Which is one who hides pain behind a smile. Eccedentesiast.
ACT Prep at Thursday Flex
Last year, some of the class of ‘26 asked if PiM could offer some guidance for the ACT. Starting tomorrow, and running seven days during Thursday Flex, Mr. Mortika will be offering a thorough ACT prep, including daily practice work through Google Classroom. Tomorrow we look at “the big picture” of how the five parts of the ACT test are designed, and discuss the best ways to prepare.
Scholastic Writing Competition
Tomorrow is the last day to submit writing to Scholastic! Get those poems, short stories or memoirs submitted.
Romeo & Juliet
It’s show week for Romeo & Juliet! Make sure to get your tickets reserved for Thursday, or Saturday – Friday is sold out. And, take note – there’s NO late seating for this show, so make sure you make plans to arrive well before 7pm.
Student Council @ the Art Market
PiM Student Council will be doing a book drive at the winter art market for our school library. Every person who donates a book gets a custom student-made pin. We will also be doing a bake sale where all proceeds will go to future student council endeavors, so make sure to stop by!
Pride in December
In recognition of Pride Month, typically celebrated in June, the Diversity and Inclusion club is celebrating half birthday style with a few quotes: “Es lebe die Freiheit!” (“Long live freedom!”) Hans Fritz Scholl, founding member of the White Rose resistance movement in Nazi Germany. Along with his sister Sophie, he was put on trial and executed by the Nazis. If you would like to learn more about Hans, the White Rose resistance, and others, stop by room 124 and scan the QR code or read the posters.
