Native American Heritage Month
In recognition of the month the Diversity and Inclusion club would like to introduce you to Kevin Noble Maillard. Kevin, a citizen of the Seminole Nation, is a professor of law, journalist, and Children’s book author. “Fry Bread”, one of his more famous books, depicts the diversity that can be found among Native Americans. If you would like to learn more about Kevin and other Native Americans, stop by room 124 and scan the QR code or read the posters.
Winter Art Market!
It’s that time of year again! The sign up for a table at the 5th annual Flying Cloud Winter Art Market is live! We accept all handmade, original creations and prints, as well as vintage and thrift goods. The market is scheduled to run from 3:30-6:30pm on Thursday December 19th right before the Fashion show and during the Portrait Show opening. This is a hugely attended event and had over 150 guests shopping last year! It’s a great place to shop and sell for the holidays. The cost of a vendor table is $10 and the link to sign up is in your advisory google classroom.

Random Recognition
Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize an 11th grade Visual Arts major – Violet MacBlane-Meyer. She was an excellent stage manager for “Foot Flight by Night”. Violet worked hard to keep the show running smoothly and brought a positive energy that helped tie the whole production together. Great work Violet!
