Community of Creatives Assembly
The assembly today allows us a chance to reflect on the role the arts play in our culture, and lives. As a community we recognize the importance of the arts. This assembly gives us the opportunity to refocus our energy toward the artistic purpose which brings all of us to PiM each day.
We are honored to have amazing student and staff speakers, and very excited to have Emmy Award winning actor, vocalist, arts educator and community organizer; T. Mychael Rambo as our keynote speaker. This should be a great afternoon!
Today we will follow the normal flex schedule. At the end of block 4, students should report to their Advisory. All bags and belongings should be left in the Advisory classroom. Then students will go directly to the White Box.

Native American Heritage Month
In recognition of the month the Diversity and Inclusion club would like to introduce you to Wassaja. They were an Apache Indian activist, and founding member of the Society of American Indians. They were kidnapped as a child and sold to an Italian photographer. This did however open the opportunity for them to attend University and be the 2nd Native American to earn their medical degree. If you would like to learn more about Wassaja and other Native Americans, stop by room 124 and scan the QR code or read the posters.
Random Recognition
Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize a ninth grade Media Arts major – Amira Mohamed. Amira is working outside her comfort zone by taking an improvisation class. We admire her perseverance and bravery as she finds her comfort on the stage. Amira teaches us a valuable lesson about facing your fears. Thank you Amira.
