Word of the Day
Givi Stoner’s word of the day is obganiate. Which is to annoy by being repetitive or by repeating overs and over. Obganiate.
Native American Heritage Month
In recognition of the month the Diversity and Inclusion club would like to introduce you to Jan Bourdeau Waboose. Ms. Waboose is a children’s book author. She is a Nishnawbe Ojibway from northern Ontario (Canada) and uses her writing to show what life is like for her family and community. She wants people to see and understand Native life as more than what is portrayed in TV and movies. She has written many children’s books including Sky Sister, which is based on her and her sisters. If you want to learn more about Ms. Waboose and many other Native Americans stop by room 124 and scan the QR code there or read through the profiles.
