Gardening Club Announcement
PiM’s first-ever gardening club is ALMOST in session! If you want to chat about plants, see them grow, and explore environmental science, you should come to the Gardening Club’s meetings on Tuesdays during Flex! Meetings will begin on Tuesday, October 3rd.
Homecoming
Do you have a ticket to Homecoming? What about your bestie? Tickets are still on sale! Get yours for $10 during lunch in the cafeteria. Don’t forget: Guests that do not go to PiM need to have a guest form completed. Those forms are due TOMORROW. Homecoming is this Saturday from 7-9 in the cafeteria.

PiM is going to New York City
All 11th and 12th grade students are invited to an arts infused SPRING BREAK trip to New York! Go to museums, take in Central Park, meet a Broadway Performer (or two), and see a couple of Broadway shows. There is a very important virtual info meeting that you need to attend on October 3rd at 6:30 pm. Find a poster around the school and scan the code to get the link for the meeting. This is going to be a great time, hope you can come along! See Mr. Thompson for more details.

Update on Timeline for Creative Writing Major
Hello dope artists! Here’s a quick update on the effort to create a creative writing department/major at PiM.
From September to November 30th we’re collecting student interest through the petition on the flyers around school. We need at least 40 students to express interest in taking multiple classes in creative writing or in majoring in creative writing. The more interest the better.
From November to December, Ms. Taiwana will pitch at least two new creative writing classes for the 2024-25 school year, maybe one on Science Fiction and Fantasy and maybe another on Queer & Trans Creative Writers; she’s still cooking up ideas.
Then, finally, in January and February we need you, yes you, to actually register for one of these creative writing classes. Y’all, fill these classes upppp! From there, we can propose a creative writing arts major.

DnD Club
Hey students, D&D Club is back for another year!
New to D&D? No problem, we’ll teach you. Don’t have a group to play with? No problem, we’ll hook you up with the coolest students in the school. Have to make the bus home? No problem, this year we’re meeting during Flex, too.
Our first official meeting will be Thursday October 6 during Flex in room 201. So sharpen your pencils, dust off your dice, and prepare to save the world…one act of random destruction at time.

Are you an artist of color? Do you want to show your work to the Main Gallery? Submit to the BIPOC show! Posters are around the school, scan the QR code to submit or ask Grover any questions you have about the show! We only have 1 submission so far and it makes Grover sad… So submit! Submit by October 2nd!
