Homecoming and Spirit Week
It is almost time for Homecoming! Homecoming is on Saturday, September 30th, from 7-9PM in the cafeteria. This year’s theme is…… “Out of This World”! PiM’s own Sam King will be our DJ! Tickets go on sale in one week. They are $10 each. Remember non-PiM guests need a guest form filled out and given to Ms. Montgomery! If you need a guest form, ask your Advisory teacher.
NO SHAME
Need to perform your NO SHAME piece but aren’t sure when or how to perform for both an arts and non-arts teacher? Omernik AND Mrs. McKnight are joining forces for tomorrow’s Flex. Sign up for Mrs. McKnight’s flex for Tuesday, 9/21 (that’s tomorrow!) and come to the choir room to perform your piece for both teachers at once. This will fulfill your performance requirement before turning in your application to be put in the show. A reminder to everyone that ALL NO SHAME applications are due to Mrs. McKnight by THIS WEDNESDAY 9/20!
PiM NHS
If you are a Junior or Senior- don’t forget you can apply to join the National Honor Society – it looks great on College applications and you can help out the community! The requirements are: 3.3 GPA, 15 hours of community service within the last year, two teacher recommendations and a willingness to take on a leadership role. Applications are due by October 1st and can be found on your Advisory Google Classroom.
Student Interest in a Creative Writing Department
Hello dope artists! This is another reminder that there is a petition going around to see how many students are interested in the creation of PiM’s first ever Creative Writing Department! If you’re interested in making this a thing, or at the very least want more classes in Creative Writing, sign the petition right now during Advisory.
