NO SHAME Performance
2 days left to get your performance NO SHAME forms into Deignan! Looking at you, dancers and thespians! All performance types are welcome and encouraged. Perform your piece for one academic teacher and one arts teacher and turn it in before you leave for the long weekend on Thursday.
NO SHAME Gallery
Thank you to everyone who submitted artwork for the first NO SHAME Gallery! If your work is a non-digital piece, aka painting, drawing, sculpture, etc., please put it on the cart stationed outside of 143 ASAP.
Revampt Gallery Show
The submission deadline for our first main gallery show is coming up this Friday! We are looking for work that reworks or recreates an old artwork or something created using recycled materials. Submit work by scanning the QR code on the posters around school or find the application on the Visual/Media Arts Google Classroom pages.
National Honor Society
Juniors and Seniors interested in joining PiM’s National Honor Society – applications are now available in your Advisory Google Classrooms. To be a member of NHS, you need to have done at least 15 hours of community or volunteer service within the last year, have a cumulative 3.3 GPA and get two teacher recommendations. Covid Testing This Week
Remember we have an Early Release on Thursday and there is NO School on Friday. – So, Covid Testing will be moved to Thursday, during Block 2 this week.
Homecoming Guest Forms
The Homecoming dance is Saturday, October 1 from 7-10pm in the cafeteria. Planning to bring a guest? Guest forms are available from your Advisor. Completed forms are due to Monty by the end of the day on Friday, September 30th. Forms require a principal’s signature if your guest is in high school AND a signature from your guest’s parents so pick up a form TODAY and get started on getting those signatures! Come dressed in your spookiest costumes (school dress code applies and you must be recognizable in your costume!).
Random Recognition
Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize a Junior Visual Arts major – Eli Shaninghouse. Eli’s math teacher says, “Eli has such a positive attitude in class, and always puts in the extra effort to work through tough problems in math. They come to class prepared, and even when things get frustrating preserve!” Thank you Eli Shaninghouse for all of your hard work!
