Labor Day
Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday in September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States. – There is no school on Monday. School resumes on Tuesday.

Winds & Strings & Electric Things!
Anyone who plays an instrument of any kind is welcome to join our new Block 5 ensemble, Winds & Strings & Electric Things. We will play all kinds of musical styles – all ability levels are welcome! All majors are welcome! Maybe you play the violin but are a media major – join us! Maybe you play the clarinet but are a dance major – join us! Today! After school in room 127! Good Ones Magazine is holding an info session for the upcoming school year. If you’ve ever dreamed of taking editorial photos, writing movie reviews, or helping us schedule our infamous spirit weeks, this is your chance! If you have questions, just stop by the office and ask Simone!
National Art Honor Society
NAHS will hold its first meeting Tuesday during 5th block in room 130. This will be an informational and planning meeting. If you are interested in doing some art related projects and community service in a student-led group, join us! We are excited to welcome new members and our returning crew. There will be food.
Random Recognition
Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize all our new students – Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors – who stepped out of their comfort zone this week to participate in the Unified Auditions! Bravo! That is the first step in taking charge of your own artistic development. Thank you for being new leaders in the PiM Community!
