Word of the Day
Alex Stoner’s word of the day is contingency. Which is a future event or circumstance which is possible but cannot be predicted with certainty. Contingency.
Blood Drive
Can you spare approximately 1 pint of your 10 pints of blood? Sure you can because that pint is quickly replaced and ready for it’s next donation 8 weeks later. Your whole blood pint is often broken down into other usable parts for a person’s emergency needs such as just white blood cells, platelets or plasma. If you didn’t sign up last week, stop by the Donation table to see if they can schedule you in! You can also see Ms. Ciganko if you have any questions or concerns.
Black History Month Planning
A reminder that tomorrow after school we will be viewing clips from the 2019 Black Excellence show in order to start planning for this year’s performance. Come hangout with Monty and bring your ideas to the Loading Dock Theatre at 2:40 tomorrow. We are in need of performers and people to run tech!
Advisory Update
Students – Please listen carefully! A reminder that Advisory IS a part of your school day. Now that everyone is in school until 2:30, including bus students, we need to focus on rebuilding and reconnecting our Advisory communities. Everyone is expected to attend your Advisory everyday. If you need to to seek help from another teacher, or to do an activity, you must arrive in Advisory with a pass from the teacher you want to visit. So make sure to plan ahead and get that pass. – Students who are skipping Advisory will receive a 1 hour detention. Practice integrity.
Morning Announcements to the Afternoon
Starting tomorrow, the morning announcements will take place during Advisory in the afternoon. The announcements will play just after the bell rings, so prep yourself to be quiet – so you don’t get left out. Knowledge is power!
