Virtual Peer Tutoring/Study Groups
Hey PIMsters, this is a message from one of your student ambassadors, Sophia Rao. As we start our year in distance learning, we want you all to know that we will be doing as many things as possible to make this quarter—and any others we spend doing distance learning—easier for all of you. In that vein, we are implementing virtual study groups and tutoring while we are all at home. Study groups will run once a week after school, Monday for Block 1, Tuesday for Block 2, Wednesday for Block 3, and Thursday for Block 4. That way, you can join as many study groups as you want without any of them conflicting. We are putting out a call for tutors and study group leaders, as well as those who would like to participate as a study group member or receive tutoring. If you are interested, please email Sophia at sophia.rao@pimartshs.org. In order to be a tutor or study group leader, you must be currently taking a class or have previously taken it and still be confident in the material. If you are interested in any part of this program, please send Sophia an email.

Have you started preparing your NO SHAME submission? Sign up for the google classroom to stay on top of any announcements and tips to make your video look great. The code is sxbarbv and is posted in your Advisory classroom by Mrs. Klein. Represent your major well and get involved! Submissions are due September 25th, a week from Friday, and you must be passing your classes to participate.
Homecoming 2020
The Student Ambassadors are hosting PiM’s 1st Virtual Homecoming Week Dance on Saturday, October 3rd from 7:00-10:00 pm. Ever been to a virtual dance? Jaede Bayala has and she said it was a blast! And guess what, this year it’s free to attend! We are looking for up to 6 students that have a Macbook to DJ the dance via Zoom for 30 minutes at a time. Email Ms. Montgomery to submit your name. More information about Spirit Week themes, contests, and the dance to come!
