WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? PiM Musical Revue
What Happens Next? The PiM Musical Revue is doing something different this fall. We are holding auditions for 10 humans to dig deep into this original work and join the Deignans and Mr. Thompson in a workshop setting to explore the music and the characters.
These 10 workshop company members will help shape what the final product of what What Happens Next will look like when it is ready for the stage. The entire process of this workshop will be documented, songs will be recorded and on October 22, we will release a video of our work on the new PiM streaming service with songs and behind the scenes interviews with the workshop company.
What do you need to do to be a part of this experience? You need to submit a video to the google classroom of you singing 32 bars of a Musical Theatre Pop song with accompaniment by SEPTEMBER 15th. If you want to know what a Pop Musical Theatre song is, think of shows like Footloose, Hairspray and Xanadu. Please do not sing unaccompanied. After your song, record a personal statement of why you want to work on this project. It can be as simple as you love singing, and want to do more of it, or you want to be sure the stories are told honestly and sincerely. What will you as a PiM student artist add to the workshop?
Check out more info at the google classroom: htztyke and email Mr. Thompson with any questions.
