“I’ve been a full time freelance musician and video director since I graduated. My second semester of my senior year I was able to intern with a video director, so I got to leave after my second hour and go work on big commercial video sets every day, which set me up with a lot of connections that continue to be a main part of my income. I’ve also been spending a lot of time in Los Angeles doing high budget music videos and writing music for different pop artists.
I’ve been extremely fortunate to have enough freelance work to keep me afloat without having to take on a second job! I’m traveling for remote shoots and writing for other artists 1-2 weeks every month, which I am extremely grateful for. I love exploring new cities and meeting new people, especially when it’s involved with art. I wouldn’t trade what I have for anything!
I think to be a successful freelancer in music or in cinema, you have to live, eat, and breathe the craft for years before you can make a dime. PiM is extremely good at teaching that to new students coming into the art scene. PiM is great at instilling passion into younger artists in my experience, and if you want art to be a part of your life, I could not recommend this school enough.”
