Jumping Right Into It
“Since graduating, I’ve played or recorded on a total of eight albums. These projects range from doing session work for Canadian black metal bands to doing an all-fretless Shoegaze project made up entirely by PiM Alumni. Along with this, I have recently begun my own multimedia/record label (Pale Noise Media) with another visual and sonic artist, Matt Wees.
I am pursuing my Bachelors of Music in Music Theory & Composition with a primary instrument of Contrabass at the University of Minnesota Duluth. My degree plan is a four year program that PiM has set me up to complete comfortably in three years by basically giving me a college-minor equivalent in music performance. That being said, I have changed my primary instrument from electric to upright bass, so I am still putting in the extra long hours practicing.
Apart from purely sonic projects, I have been involved with directing and editing my first music video (Rictus – Dorian) through Pale Noise; started working in the concert photography world, and have still kept my part time job working as a professional stage hand for main-stage/enterprise level touring artists like Kesha, Pit Bull, and Rob Thomas at the Mystic Lake Showroom and Outdoor Amphitheater.”
