Pennies for Patients
It’s starting next Monday! For you new students and for those who forgot, Pennies for Patients is a fundraising competition between advisories that helps raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All proceeds help blood cancer research and treatment…right here in Minnesota! Here’s how it works: the Advisory that earns the most POINTS, not money, wins! Points are earned or lost as follows:
Pennies count as 10 points AGAINST your advisory. You don’t want pennies, but you want to put pennies in other Advisories’ jars!
All Silver coins count as 10 points FOR your advisory.
$1 bills are worth 15 points
$5 bills are worth 20 points
$10 bills are worth 25 points
$20 are worth 50 points.
NEW THIS YEAR: Online donation for your advisory! Every dollar raised online on your advisory site will be worth 20 points. Tell your family. Links will be posted in Advisory Google Classrooms.
If we raise over $750 as a school, the winning advisory gets a free pizzas from Dominos. The competition will run until Spring Break. Pay attention to announcements for updates. NHS thanks you!
College Fair Field Trip For Sophomores and Juniors!
PiM Sophomores and Juniors will have the opportunity to attend the MACAC College Fair on March 12th at Hopkins High School! This is a great way to meet college reps and discover colleges in a smaller setting. Permission slips are available from Advisory teachers, please return them before March 5th.
Spring Play Auditions

PiM Chamber Orchestra
PiM Chamber Orchestra is starting back up on Mondays after school from 2:30-3:30, starting March 11. We will be working on classical and contemporary rep, and all are welcome. If you play an orchestral instrument, please sign up by emailing pimorch@pimartshs.org

Blood Drive
Reminder that Monday, March 4th, the blood drive will be taking place. If you have signed up or have been put on the waitlist, there are a few things you
need to do. Eat a healthy breakfast and lunch and drink plenty of fluids over the weekend and especially on Monday. Two: Please bring a valid form of ID. If you forget your student ID you can pull up your photo on your Infinite Campus or have the office print it out. Three: If you are sixteen, you must have your signed parental consent form. Four: You will receive your pass for your donation time from your first block teacher on Monday. Questions? Seek out an NHSDA member or Ms. Ciganko for any further inquiries.
Original Works Show
Hey all! Mark your calendars for March 15th! 6pm-7pm there will be an art gallery and 7pm-9pm there will be performances all of original compositions! Tickets are five dollars and all of the money raised will go towards lettering patches! Sonic Sea Turtles will be there, will you?
