Ukulele Club
Tonight after school. We’ll discuss how to be a better player, and we’ll rock some tunes.
Ice and Heat Packs
Please help us keep these on hand for students in need. Search your lockers, backpacks, cars, and homes! Then bring back the ice and heat packs!!
CABARET
Tonight and tomorrow night are your last chances to see the musical CABARET! It plays in the White Box at 7 pm both nights. You will want to get your tickets right away as there is limited seating for this show. Student tickets are $10.00.
Blood Drive
The blood drive is on Monday! You should receive your pass today in Advisory. See Ms. Ciganko if you did not. A reminder that 16-years-olds MUST have a parent consent form in order to donate. YOU CANNOT DONATE WITHOUT IT! Please bring it to Ms. Ciganko today if you have not turned it in already. Otherwise, you must bring it with you on Monday! All donors also need to bring your ID and drink plenty of water throughout the weekend and on Monday prior to your donation time. Please also eat a healthy breakfast and lunch on Monday. Eating foods that are higher in iron over the weekend is a good idea too. Memorial Blood Centers says that Oreo cookies will boost your iron. Go figure! So treat yourself a little this weekend. We still need students on the waiting list. See Ms. Ciganko after announcements if interested.
Almost, Maine Auditions
Audition applications are due today. An audition line-up will be posted on Google Classroom over the weekend and on the callboard on Monday. By the way, if you haven’t submitted an application because you don’t feel like you can find and prep a monologue, JOIN the GOOGLE CLASSROOM for the show. There are provided monologues that you can use. Memorization is preferred, but if you can’t do that, bring a printed copy to the audition. You’ve got options!
Gender and Sexuality Alliance
GSA meets today after school. Everyone is welcome. Is it your 1st or 21st time coming? Doesn’t matter! Questions? See Mr. Edman or Mrs. Harge.
Black Student Union Blanket Drive
PiM’s Black Student Union is hosting a drive for blankets to give to homeless people in downtown Minneapolis. Next week Monday through Friday bring any gently used blankets your family can spare. We will wash the blankets and then distribute them to people in need. There will be a box on the stage in the cafeteria. Any questions? Ask Jada Wilson, Hirut Hedge, Janell Howard, Sa’Nah Britt, Ms. Harge or Ms. Montgomery!
