Valentine’s Day
NHSDA will be selling flowers for Valentine’s Day before school and during lunch on Valentine’s Day ONLY. Your choice of red or white carnations with a personalized note, all for a dollar each. Don’t forget to bring your money for your honey!
Pennies for Patients
It’s starting next Monday! For you new students and for those who forgot, Pennies for Patients is a fundraising competition between advisories that helps raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All proceeds help blood cancer research and treatment…right here in Minnesota! Here’s how it works: the Advisory that earns the most POINTS, not money, wins!
Points are earned or lost as follows:
Pennies count as 10 points AGAINST your advisory. You don’t want pennies, but you want to put pennies in other Advisory’s jars!
All Silver coins count as 10 points FOR your advisory.
- $1 bills are worth 15 points
- $5 bills are worth 20 points
- $10 bills are worth 25 points
- $20 are worth 50 points.
If we raise over $750 as a school, the winning advisory gets a free pizza or Olive Garden lunch! The competition will run until February 23rd. Pay attention to announcements for updates. NHS thanks you!
