Ukulele Club
You woke up this morning with tears in your eyes. “Ukulele Club was Wednesday after school, and I missed it!” I hear you wail. But dry those tears! It’s not too late. Uke Club has moved to Fridays after school. So gather up your pluck and a ukulele, and make your way to Room 202 tomorrow.
Missing Costume Items
Costume pieces from the costume storage space are missing, and we need them back no later than this Friday so that they can be used for the One Act Play competition this weekend. No questions asked, no consequences — we just need them back for the show! The missing items are as follows: one mostly green and brown paisley shirt; one red and orange on white paisley shirt; and one tan windbreaker style jacket. One pair of pleated brown pants is also missing, and are needed for Cabaret. All of these items can be turned in to Ms. Cadwell or left in her room. Any other costume items that have been “borrowed” may also be returned at this time. Your friendly neighborhood costumer thanks you.
Speech
We have a meeting today after school. See you there.
GLBT-O!
Tomorrow! Nocturna and Hope will be here to play bingo and answer your questions in regards to performing in the Twin Cities as a queer entertainer. Bingo will start at 2:30 in Room 119. Questions? See Mr. Edman or Mrs. Harge.
Part-Time Employment Opportunity
Are you looking to earn a little cash for some fun, part-time work? The Mall of America/Nickelodeon Universe is looking to hire character performers. Opportunities to emcee events and game shows, dance, and lead activities for children are also possible. You must be at least 16 years old and have weekend availability. See Ms. Cadwell for additional details and info for how to apply and audition.
Technovation
PiM Arts High School students have swayed the wording of this entire global nonprofit! Now, anyone female, gender fluid, or gender neutral is invited to come and learn how to code. We’ll develop an app to solve a problem we see in the community. We’re investigating how to help teenage kids keep their identities safe online. Come join us! Klemme’s room, 2:30 to 3:30 Tues. through Fri. after school.
Run Club
Let’s face it! All the best art requires a bit of stamina to see it to completion. Dance is almost all cardio. Most music requires strong lungs. And well, acting is all about ACTION. Why not practice all at once in the art of running every other Tuesday with Ms. Thompson (yes, the third Thompson) starting next week? Dream about your next painting as we pass by woods and ponds or frame out your next film idea while hitting the pavement. All levels welcome. Meet in Room 201 at 2:40. That gives you time to change. See you there!
Random Recognition
Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize Abby Stillings for coming in during marking day to organize videos and books, and Zoë Wolsky for being a great TA Block 1, Quarter 2. Thanks for being great ambassadors of our school.
