Arts-focused high school opens its doors in Eden Prairie

Eden Prairie has a new arts-focused high school and more than 300 students walked through the doors for their first day of school on Friday, Aug. 25.
The Performing Institute of Minnesota Arts High School, formerly the Main Street School of Performing Arts, made its home in Eden Prairie after closing on the $6 million purchase of the former Eagle Ridge Academy site at 7255 Flying Cloud Drive last year. The school was originally housed in an old Catholic school building in Hopkins.
