Ukulele Club
If you play uke, if you play a uke-like instrument, if you sing, or if you just like casual music, then the Ukulele Club is for you. Wednesdays after school, Room 250. This week, we’re looking at pop hits of the ‘70s and ‘80s.
Day of Silence
Day of Silence is a student-led national event organized in thousands of schools, bringing awareness to the silencing effects of anti-LGBTQ name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Students who wish to participate may pick up a name tag in the front hallway before school. Why are you silent? Questions? See Mr. Edman.
Detentions
Are you planning to go to Prom? If you have any outstanding detentions you’d better serve them ASAP! You must have ALL of your detentions served no later than 3:30 pm on Wednesday, April 26th to attend Prom on the 29th. Arrive to school between 7:00 and 7:15 am to serve detention with Mr. Mortika. Serve at least 30 minutes in the morning and you’ll get credit for a full hour. Otherwise, serve detention Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays in the assigned detention room from 2:30 to 3:30. If you stay after any day with a teacher for academic support, have the teacher email Ms. Montgomery to have that time count towards outstanding detention hours.
