Pennies for Patients
Hey! Every year, NHS holds a Pennies for Patients drive to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for blood cancer research and to support families with medical bills. We have raised as much as $900 in the past.
This year, we’re doing things differently. Instead of pennies being worth positive points and everything else worth negative points, PENNIES WILL NOW BE worth negative points and everything else will be worth the value of the money. A nickel = 5 points. A dollar = 100 points. Five dollars = 500 points. Etc. The advisory with the most money (after pennies points are subtracted) WINS. Last year, Mortika’s advisory won. Perhaps they need some extra pennies? We will be running this competition from January 30 through February 16th, so bring in that change and get PIZZA. SPOILER: Mr. Mollick’s advisory has already brought their A Game.
