Love Song Night
Love Song Night is this week! Sign up outside the music room, Room 229, and then invite that secret crush of yours. The show will be happening in the Lower Level at 7 pm.
Pennies for Patients
Hey, Mainstreet! Pennies for Patients is back this year and with your help, NHS is raising money to help families pay for medical fees and blood cancer research. Our school-wide goal is $1000. This year there is a twist. Pennies count AGAINST your advisory, so everything is worth their value but every penny is one point against anything you have! Bring your nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollars so your advisory wins. Whoever’s advisory brings the most money will be awarded a pizza party. Last year, Mr. Mortika’s Advisory won. Remember, we are not just doing this for the pizza party but to help others who need it. Good luck and have fun…and put those pennies in other advisory jars! Better yet, challenge another advisory. Face off between Flory and Robinson? Pennies for Patients will run today until February 15th.
National Honor Society thanks you!
Senior Capstone
Come to Hannah Bailey’s Capstone Auditions! She’s doing an original theater movement piece made up of a seven person cast with completely silent acting put to music to tell a story of people all fighting for their own freedom. Auditions will be held February 7th in the cafeteria from 2:30 to 3:30. Please get an audition form from the call board by Cadwell’s room and turn it in to Ms. Tonjes in the front office by the morning of auditions. Don’t worry about preparing anything. Just come with a positive attitude ready to move.
GSA
GSA will be meeting tomorrow after school. Come and help us research famous Black LGBT individuals in history. See you in Room 252.
STAFF NO SHAME
You thought students performing in NO SHAME was great?! Wait ‘til you see and hear your teachers and staff members perform! You will not want to miss this!! Friday at 7 pm. Eisenhower…it’s the place to be!
Closed Campus Reminder
Students – please be reminded that Main Street is a Closed Campus. This means that you may not leave the building during the day and that you may not order food to be delivered to the school. If you forget your lunch, you may purchase a school lunch from the cafeteria or have a family member bring it to the school. See Ms. Montgomery with any questions.
Dance Capstone Auditions
Calling everyone looking for an opportunity to move to the beat of someone else’s drum! Come and be a part of LaTanya’s Senior Capstone, Observing Others. Auditions will be held next Tuesday, February 7th, in the large dance studio after school from 2:30 to 3:30. Can’t make that? No worries. There will be another opportunity that same day during Advisory. This is dance based, but everyone is invited to audition! See LaTanya Cannady with any questions.
