Mankato State Comes to Lunch Thursday

Speech
The speech team will be holding an information meeting this Thursday in Ms. Omernik’s room. Come and see what the team is all about.
Gender and Sexuality Alliance
We will be having guest speakers tomorrow! They will be covering a wide range of transgender issues. Your questions are welcomed. Speakers start at 1:45 and 2:30. If you would like to attend the 1:45 time, you will need to get a signed permission slip from your 4th block teacher to Mr. Edman by the end of the day TODAY. Questions? See Mr. Edman.

Applications for this month’s NO SHAME are due in three days! Thursday morning at 7:50.
Frostbite One Act
Did you know that there’s a way to compete in the Minnesota State High School League that doesn’t involve sports? At Main Street and for high school performance artists throughout the state, there’s the speech circuit and one act competition. This year, Main Street will be competing with other schools in our one act called, “Frostbite.” Unfortunately, since the one act requires daily rehearsals after school for all of January, students already involved in the musical or Art Share will not be able to participate. Any questions? Please ask Cadwell.
Auditions for the one act will take place next week, so check out the callboard for more information and to locate the Google classroom code to keep you in the loop. You’ll need to complete an audition form by this Friday, the 9th, and turn it into Cadwell or the office.
Peer Tutoring

Dance Marathon and Lock-in
The Dance Marathon and lock in is THIS FRIDAY at 7 pm. Please get your permission slips signed and turned in and your sponsor forms filled out. It will be a fun night of dancing and food! Talk to an NHSDA member for details or grab forms on the board across from Ms. Ciganko’s room.
