McNally Smith Visits Main Street
A representative from the McNally Smith School of Music will be in the cafeteria during lunch next Tuesday, September 20th. Interested students should stop by and say hello to Madison and ask any questions they may have about the school.
Teen Ivey Awards
Bring everyone you know for a “formal with an edge” youth only party complete with a live DJ, a red carpet and delicious food. Then walk down the street to the State Theatre for the Ivey Awards show. Monday, September 19th, at 5:30. Buy tickets at iveyawards.com, enter code “PLAY” for $10 youth tickets and that’s for the pre-party, the award show, and the after party. Picture Retakes
If you had your picture taken in August on schedule pick-up day, you can get your pictures and student ID from your advisory teacher. If you don’t like your picture or if you didn’t get your picture taken in August, picture retake day is Mon., Sept. 19.
Dance Concert
All dancers cast in the Fall Dance Concert, your performance contracts are due next Friday, September 23. Dancers missing performance contracts or related documents will be unable to participate in rehearsal until received.
Student Choreographers
If you wish to audition a piece for the Fall Dance Concert, please see Ms. Charles to receive more information and schedule your audition. It is important that you adhere to the space request instructions on the dance board outside Room 231 if you wish to use studio space to prepare. Audition appointments will be NEXT Wednesday, September 21st, before and after school. Come prepared with your completed proposal form, music, and at least 1 min of movement. 3 pieces will be selected. Merde!
Dance NoShame
The dance department is putting together a No Shame piece for the September show. All majors welcome. The first rehearsal will be THIS Thursday (tomorrow) after school in the cafeteria from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. See the sheet on the bulletin board outside of Ms. Ciganko’s room for additional rehearsal times.
Random Recognition
Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize Saharla Vetsch for helping Ms. Tonjes clean tables and stack chairs at the end of lunch D on Monday.
