NO SHAME
So you want to perform at the first event of the school year…and you’ve got a great piece, but you’re not sure who might play for you. ENTER: NO SHAME HOUSE BAND! This great group of instrumentalists is ready to play for you!! They could be the backing band for your vocal solo, or if you’re feeling adventurous, the band for your dance piece. How great does that sound?! Just remember that the deadline to submit any piece is Thursday, the 22nd, at 7:50 am.
Picture Retakes
If you had your picture taken in August on schedule pick-up day, you can get your pictures and student ID from your advisory teacher. If you don’t like your picture or if you didn’t get your picture taken in August, picture retake day is Mon., Sept. 19. For more information, see Ms. Tonjes in the front office.
Teen Ivey Awards
Bring everyone you know for a “formal with an edge” youth only party complete with a live DJ, a red carpet, and delicious food. Then walk down the street to the State Theatre for the Ivey Awards show. All of this happens on Monday, September 19th, at 5:30. Buy tickets at iveyawards.com, enter code “PLAY” for $10 youth tickets and that’s for the pre-party, the award show, and the after party. Waffle Breakfast
Students who were on the honor roll, had perfect attendance, or were named Student of the Quarter for 4th quarter of last school year are invited to attend the waffle breakfast on Wed., Sept. 14, at 7:15 am. The list of names is posted by the office if you want to check to see whether your name is on the list.
Tabletop Tuesday
Tomorrow we’ll be playing Sentinels of the Multiverse, a cooperative superhero game. 5th block in Room 151.
