Curious Savage Callbacks
Be sure to check the Curious Savage Google Classroom or the callboard to see if you’re being called back. We’ll meet in Room 205 at 2:30. The cast list will be posted this evening on Google Classroom and on the callboard tomorrow morning.
NO SHAME
Just two weeks from today to get that piece performance-ready for NO SHAME. Your piece must be signed off by an academic and an arts teacher, and the form must be to Mr. Mollick by 7:50 am on Thursday, September 22. No exceptions!
Homecoming Dance
Why don’t you Leaf all of those responsibilities behind for a night and come to Homecoming 2016 at Eisenhower Community Center in the cafeteria! This year’s homecoming is on October 1st, the night after the first No Shame, and the theme is Grease (not the country, the movie)!
Teen Ivey Awards
Bring everyone you know for a “formal with an edge” youth only party complete with a live DJ, a red carpet, and delicious food. Then walk down the street to the State Theatre for the Ivey Awards show. All of this is on Monday, September 19th, 5:30. Buy tickets at iveyawards.com, enter code “PLAY” for $10 youth tickets, and that’s for the pre-party, the award show, and the after party. Dancers Needed for NO Shame
Hello fellow dancers, majors and non-majors! Would you like to perform in the first NO Shame? The dance department is creating a piece with a medley of dance styles and is looking for dancers. In order for us to know how many students would like to participate and to create a schedule we need you to sign up on the board across from Ms. Ciganko’s room (149). Please indicate what style/s you are interested in performing and what days of the week you are unable to rehearse after school. We will do our best to accommodate all requests, but understand that we have to work around the fall dance concert rehearsals too. The rehearsal schedule will be posted Monday, Sept. 12th, or as soon as the fall dance concert casting and scheduling has been posted.
Instrumental Music Majors
Listen up please! All Instrumental Music majors not in an ensemble class this quarter or preparing for a senior jury need to sign up outside Room 229 for a short check-in with Mr. Thomson or Mr. McFarlane by the end of this week. Sign-ups are for Tuesdays and Thursdays next week, and you should prepare a 1-2 minute solo to play for the check-in. See Mr. Thomson in Room 229 for details.
Geekz
Geekz club meets today after school in Room 252. Come with ideas for a panel. We will be hosting our very first Geekz panel after school at the end of the month. Questions? See Mr. Edman.
