Pomona College Visits Main Street
An admissions representative from Pomona College will visit Main Street at 2:00 on Wednesday, September 23rd, in the cafeteria. Pomona is a small liberal arts college located in Claremont, California, just outside Los Angeles. For more information on the school, talk to Ms. Soskin. All interested students should sign up outside Ms. Piner’s office.
Voice Lessons
Voice lessons will start TODAY! Please check your assigned time, which is posted outside the choir room. All lessons will take place in the basement practice room during blocks 1 and 2.
National Honor Society
Hey, Juniors and Seniors! Do you like doing good things in the community? Have you already done some good things in the community? Yes? You should apply to become a member of the National Honor Society! You must have at least a 3.0 GPA and 20 hours of community service hours within the last year. Get your NHS application from Rahila Coats or Ms. Miller. Have questions? Ask a current NHS member- Rahila, Rachel Stokes, Stasia Higgins or Avian Ciganko Ford. Applications due Friday, October 9th.
National Anthem at TWINS Game
We will have ONE rehearsal tomorrow after school to practice your parts for the game. This rehearsal is only for students NOT currently in choir. Stop by tomorrow after school for a short rehearsal.
PSAT for Juniors
If you are considering college, do consider taking the PSAT with us on Wednesday, Oct 14. The PSAT gives you the following opportunities: National Merit Scholar awards consideration, standardized assessment practice, and SAT performance prediction. Get information and sign up in the office. Deadline is October 9.

Homecoming 2015
Saturday, September 26th, from 7 to 10 pm at the Eisenhower Community Center Gym (the same building where we do No Shame). Tickets are $10 in advance and at the door and will be on sale in the school cafeteria during all 4 lunches on Friday, September 25th. If you plan to bring a guest from another school, pick up a Guest Permission form from Ms. Tonjes or Ms. Montgomery in the main office.
