A big congratuations are in order for our vocal music teacher, Katie McKnight! She was recognized as a Wall of Honor recipient at the Minnesota Music Educator's Association's annual conference.

PiM’s students enthusiastically participate in the The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, which were founded in 1923 and for more than a century, Scholastic has honored bold ideas and excellence in creative teens throughout the country. Notable Scholastic alumni include Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, David Salle, Ken Burns, Paul Chan and so many more. You can explore the history of scholastic and an interactive timeline here.

This year PiM students were honored with 102 awards in our region. This is 10% of the total awards of our entire state! 21 student works will advance to national judging with more potential honors. This includes two portfolios that represent truly incredible bodies of work by Ava J. and Leo B.

Another incredible achievement was also recognized with our own Givi being awarded the American Vision award! Only five of these awards are named a year and this is the second year in a row that a PiM student has won this award with Aurora having been honored with this last year.

There will be an awards ceremony Sunday February 23rd at Albertville-St Michael High School for gold and silver award winners where we are eager to cheer for our amazing students!
